Crossing the Sandbar: He had to catch a wave to surf across the sandbar.
Old Man Wiggan: Roy Wiggan's father, 'Old Man Wiggan', was hunting turtle for his family, when he was hit by a storm and dragged out by the tide. He was lost for over 36 hours. This is the first of five paintings which describe his struggle to survive and find his way home.
Please note: The craft 'Old Man Wiggan' used was a catamaran, not a single hulled vessel as depicted in these images.
