Kooljaman Whirlpool
: At one stage he could see the red cliffs of Kooljaman on the horizon
but he couldn't get across the whirlpool caused by severe tides.

Old Man Wiggan: Roy Wiggan's father, 'Old Man Wiggan', was hunting turtle for his family,
when he was hit by a storm and dragged out by the tide. He was lost for over 36 hours.
This is the fourth painting of five which describe his struggle to survive and find his way home.

Please note: The craft Old Man Wiggan used was a catamaran,
not a single hulled vessel as depicted in these images.
